Maria Popovski
Speech Pathologist
Maria is a passionate Speech Pathologist dedicated to empowering individuals to achieve their communication goals. She prioritises client-centred care and values the involvement of families in collaborative goal-setting.
As a certified practising member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA), she holds a Bachelor of Speech, Hearing and Language Sciences and a Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
Maria has a background as a clinical educator and Team Leader. She has worked with clients aged 2 to 20 in a variety of settings, including clinic, preschool, primary and high school. Maria has worked within multidisciplinary teams with a range of allied health professionals including Occupational Therapists, Music Therapists, Behaviour Therapists and Dieticians.
Maria has extensive experience working with clients who have speech, language, fluency, literacy, and social skill difficulties. She also has experience working with individuals who require Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Her experience includes working with clients who have a diagnosis of Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disability (ID), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and various literacy difficulties.
